About Us & BSA Group
A key player in food security across the Sahel.
Sahel Commodities SARL is the commercial subsidiary of Hmayene Bouamatou Import (HBI), part of BSA Group. Founded in 1976 by Mohamed Bouamatou, the Group operates in 38 African countries and employs more than 8,600 people. For 11 years, our leadership distributed 300,000 tonnes of cement annually to wholesalers across Mauritania’s 15 wilayas. That same nationwide merchant network now supports the distribution of cooking oil and essential food products.
